From Legends to Legacy.

While in the Greece, the ninth and tenth grade classes went on their own Odyssey across the Ionian Sea. We documented our experience as well as wrote five narrative essays, five creative pieces, and a biography about an ancient Greek God.

Effects of Air Pollution on Health in New Zealand

According to Conserve Energy Future, a person will breathe in 3,080 gallons of air on average in a single day. As a result, air pollution has a direct negative impact on the public health across the world. This paper will focus on these repercussions in the United States of America, India, Kenya, Germany, and Denmark. It is hazardous to the cardiovascular system and has been proven to increase heart disease and risk factors in North America. It was also found in India and Kenya that harmful substances in the air can also cause many respiratory problems, such as asthma, lung cancer, and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). Studies in Germany and Denmark concluded that impure air has also been proven to increase the risk of diabetes.

Science of Friendship

In World Language and Literatue, I emulated Hone Tuwhare's poem, Science of Feeling, to read about poem about my best friend, Madeleine. Then, in visual arts, I represented my poem with the piano physically a part of my friend with all of the discritive words written on her hands.

My Tikanga

Tikanga is the Maori word for "doing things right" as wells as the customs and traditions that have been naded down through a passage of time. This is my tikanga, my traditions, my story.

THINK Times

While in New Zealand, the tenth grade class collaborated in order to create our very of Think Global School Newspaper. After visiting the New Zealand Herald, we elected an editing team and began writing. There are articles relating to news in the country as well as local TGS news.

Hermit Crab Field Report

I collected information around Costa Rica along with my partners, Divine and Gillian. At the end of the four weeks, I decided to write my field report about the hermit crabs in Companario.

¿VES?

Kiana and I studied the issue of sustainability while we travelled around Costa Rica for a month. We then created our own advocacy campaign in an attempt to get hotels to be more sustainable, like the hotels we stayed in.

Geometric Subconciousness

I chose to study ancient Greek mathematics and relate them to how they are used in today's society. Specifically looking at the fidings of Pythagoras, Plato, and Euclid, I talked about how we subconciously use math in our everyday life to identify beauty.
